Auburn hosts No. 10 Georgia in the 130th edition of The Deep South's Oldest Rivalry on Saturday in Jordan-Hare Stadium.

For Hugh Freeze and the Tigers, it's an opportunity to get back on the winning side of things after two straight road losses to teams in the top 10. Two weeks, Auburn's offense faltered in a 16-10 loss to Texas A&M, putting up just 177 total yards.

Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs are coming off a walk-in-the-park 35-14 victory over Kentucky and look to stay in the College Football Playoff race. Georgia has won the last eight meetings dating back to the 2017 SEC Championship game, so Auburn fans are biting at the bit to see the rivalry turn toward orange and blue for once.

Odds

Georgia is currently a -3.5 favorite according to FanDuel.com.

This is our team's predictions for the game.

While I don't have a lot of faith in Auburn's offense after the Texas A&M game, I think the team is hungry to show that they're better than that, and it's a massive game in Jordan-Hare Stadium. Between Cam Newton's jersey retirement, the night atmosphere, and the talent that truly exists on this team, I'm optimistically hoping Auburn pulls it off in a close one.

Auburn's defense looked strong against Oklahoma and Texas A&M, but the Tigers' offensive potential is lacking. Jackson Arnold went 0/12 on third-down conversions in College Station. He will need to learn to get rid of the ball sooner to keep his dual-threat capability in play. On the other hand, Georgia's offense looks efficient. With a near-defeat against Tennessee and a loss to Alabama, however, the Bulldogs could be exposed to an upset in Jordan-Hare on Saturday night.

This could very well be the fork in the road for Hugh Freeze's tenure on the Plains, as a win gives him a big-time rivalry victory, while a loss drops him to 0-3 against the Bulldogs and the Tigers 3-3 on the season.

Auburn's defense will ride the crowd noise to its best performance of the season, while the Tigers' running game will be able to get some yards and churn some clock. Now, the game lies in the arm (and brain) of Jackson Arnold.

I think Auburn gets it done.
