Despite the voters in the Coaches Poll not showing any love to Hugh Freeze and the Auburn Tigers, those who vote in the AP Poll have seen enough of the Tigers to put them in the top 25.

Following Auburn's 42-3 victory over Ball State on Saturday night in Jordan-Hare Stadium, the Tigers have moved into the rankings at No. 24. This marks the first time Auburn has appeared in the top 25 of the AP Poll since November 7, 2021.

Auburn used a balanced effort from its offense against the Cardinals, rushing for 224 yards and three touchdowns, while Jackson Arnold threw for 251 yards and three touchdowns on 24-of-28 passing. Jeremiah Cobb, getting the start in place of the injured Damari Alston, led the rushing attack with 121 yards and two scores.

DJ Durkin's defense was all over Ball State's offense, holding the Cardinals to 68 total yards, the lowest since the Tigers held Ole Miss to nine total yards in 1985.

The Tigers hope to keep the momentum going as they host South Alabama before starting SEC play at Oklahoma next Saturday.
