Auburn recruiting has been the year's story so far for both football and basketball, a trend that will continue today as four-star point guard Kaden Magwood is set to take the stage at 2:30 C.T. to announce his college commitment.

Among his top three schools are Ole Miss, which he visited on August 31, and NC State, which looks to be pretty much just the North Carolina native’s in-state option as, despite living the closest to the Wolfpack, he’s yet to visit; and finally, of course, the Auburn Tigers, which he visited in late September.

247Sports has yet to log an expert prediction on Magwood’s decision.

The six-foot-one, 170-pounder is ranked No. 44 in the nation, and seventh among guards; he’s ranked number one in the state of North Carolina.

247Sports’ Director of Scouting had this to say on Magwood’s playing style and production: “Magwood is one of the most naturally talented bucket-getting guards in the national class. He's a tough shot-maker who is capable of getting his shot off whenever he wants and yet still posted incredibly efficient splits of 53/52/80, while scoring almost 23 points per game… Magwood is competitive, aggressive, and extremely confident… He's a capable passer… Defensively, he's active looking to make plays (1.7 steals per game).”

Simply put, though the Auburn basketball team is off to an incredible start, Magwood would still be an absolutely huge addition to next year’s team. He’s already garnered comparisons to Auburn freshman sensation Tahaad Pettiford, who’s been a game-changer for Auburn thus far.

Kaden Magwood will take to the stage at 2:30 C.T. to make his collegiate decision– we’ll keep you updated.
