An explosive quarterback and wide receiver combination has arrived on the Plains.

With a new head coach and staff coming in, plus the transfer portal chaos at the time, it was almost certain that Auburn would see massive roster turnover between the 2025 and 2026 seasons.

Alex Golesh came to Auburn with a plan to help turn the Tigers’ program around after five straight losing seasons. While we won’t know how that plan works until Auburn takes the field this season, the Tigers have seen many quality players come to the Plains in hopes of being the ones to return the Tigers to glory.

On Monday, we looked at the five players Auburn will miss the most after they leave. Today, we are examining the five players Auburn fans should be excited about now that they are wearing the orange and blue.

1. Byrum Brown (QB, USF)

With Ashton Daniels, Deuce Knight and Jackson Arnold leaving, Golesh had to find a quarterback who could come in and fill the starting role immediately. Who better than someone he has coached for three years? It seemed inevitable that Brown would follow his head coach to Auburn, and now on campus, he can begin the process of turning the Tigers’ offense into a force again. Of course, with a quarterback you need ...

2. Keshaun Singleton (WR, USF)

... receivers he can trust! And who better than Singleton, who spent the last two seasons catching passes from Brown. In 2025, Singleton put up 50 catches for 877 yards and eight touchdowns. He will be counted on to fill the role left by Cam Coleman, as he is another big receiver who is a mismatch for opposing defenders.

3. Nate Johnson (EDGE, Missouri)

4. Bryson Washington (RB, Baylor)

Jeremiah Cobb is back, but other than him and Omar Mabson, the running back room is pretty bare. In comes Washington, who rushed for 788 yards and six touchdowns while catching 18 passes for 93 yards and a score last season for the Bears.

5. Andre Jordan Jr. (CB, UCLA)

A good tackler, but even better at defending the pass, Jordan should be a key contributor from the moment the whistle is blown. He broke up 10 passes for the Bruins in 2025, while making 19 total tackles, 12 of which were solo.

Other newcomers: Jake Johnson (TE, UNC), Shamar Arnoux (CB, FSU)
