Much like another former Auburn quarterback, TJ Finley, Holden Geriner has found that Texas State isn’t the answer to his playing problems as well.
The former 4-star recruit and 2022 signee with the Tigers, Geriner has announced that he intends to enter the transfer portal after just one season in San Marcos, Texas.

In his one season with the Bobcats, Geriner saw action in three games, running the ball twice for 10 yards and attempting one incomplete pass. Through four seasons of college football, the Savannah, Ga., native has completed nine passes for 116 yards and one interception.
Despite being a 4-star recruit, the Benedictine Military School product could never work himself up the depth chart despite shoddy quarterback play during his first two seasons at Auburn. Following the 2024 season, he joined Walker White and Hank Brown in transferring from the Tigers’ quarterback room.
