Though the Auburn football team did not see many players enter the transfer portal, there is one position group that could use some added depth. The Tigers lost a group of defensive backs to the transfer portal in Tyler Scott, Terrance Love, CJ Johnson, and JC Hart, and have been looking for additional pieces.

On Wednesday, former Tulane cornerback Rayshawn Pleasant announced his commitment to Auburn football. The CB will have two years of eligibility remaining.

A 3-star recruit out of high school, the Louisiana native began his collegiate career at Tulane in 2022. He redshirted his first year and then was only a minor contributor for the Green Wave in 2023. This past year was Pleasant's breakout season, and he recorded 35 total tackles, one tackle for loss, one interception, four passes deflected, and one fumble recovery.

"Just because of the opportunity they have, the winning," Pleasant said of his decision, per Auburn Undercover. "The opportunity it is to play in the SEC. Being in a great city, great college town. Being around some great coaches who just care about you more than football.

"Coach Crime's vision for me is making me a first rounder. He had the guys before and he knows what it takes. He feels like he can do the same for me."

Rayshawn Pleasant is the fourth player to commit to the Auburn football program from the spring transfer window. He joins a group led by returners and projected starters Kayin Lee and Jay Crawford, who will be backed up by Miami (OH) transfer Raion Strader.
