In today's world, people post about their lives online, whether they're celebrities or influencers or plain old regular folks. Former Auburn football head coach Hugh Freeze's daughter Madison is no different, and has shared her life as a coach's daughter on her social media throughout his time on the Plains.
After Freeze's firing over the weekend, his daughter took to her Tik Tok account to share a message with Auburn football fans. She explained that she wanted to document her experience while her family goes through this adjustment and provide "full transparency" about the situation.
In the video, Madi Freeze claimed that she and her family came to Auburn to "restore a program" and stated that they were promised four years, which they ultimately did not get. She said that she has watched her father's health "deteriorate" over the situation, and that this side of the coaching industry is a "very hard reality."
Unfortunately, after five years of losing records and promised results that never arrived, Madi Freeze's message to Auburn Tigers fans has fallen on deaf ears.
Bless your heart girl. If I say anything else I’ll be very meanhttps://t.co/ZXrStXlblj

"Everybody was very adamant that if you love Auburn it will love you back, and unfortunately that was not the case for us," Madi Freeze said in her video, but her attempt to garner sympathy seems to have backfired.
weaponizing health & religion because your dad’s offense was beyond stale is such an odd thing to do and that’s all I say on #that video

Generally I’m not in favor of engaging with venting posts from the family members of fired coaches because they’re in a tough spot but I will never get back the five and half minutes I wasted watching Madi Freeze’s video so I’ll allow this one. pic.twitter.com/bsMGOQUdJ7

At the end of the day, Auburn football fans must remember that Hugh Freeze and his family are human beings who are going through a difficult time. However, it can also be true that Freeze did not get the results that he was paid to get, and therefore was fired from his role with good reason. Freeze is not the first coach to ever get fired, and he will not be the last.
With Interim Head Coach DJ Durkin at the helm, the Tigers return to action this Saturday against Vanderbilt.
