It might be time to put Jase Mathews on flip watch.
The 5-star wide receiver has been linked to both LSU and Texas A&M at different stages of his recruitment, but has stayed with the Tigers. This week, however, Mathews will be taking in a night game at Death Valley when LSU plays...Texas A&M. Talk about killing two birds with one stone.

Mathews, a blue-chip prospect from Greene County, Mississippi, suffered a torn ACL early in his senior season, which will sideline him through the spring most likely, but it has also given him more time to focus on his recruitment.
Despite his interest in LSU and Texas A&M, Mathews has been back to Auburn a few times, including two weeks ago when the Tigers played Georgia. He has taken official visits to all three schools, and a fourth, Ole Miss, that could also present a problem for the Auburn staff as the Early Signing Period approaches.
Who else is heading to LSU this weekend?
Auburn's top commit, safety Bralan Womack, will also be attending the LSU-Texas A&M game at Death Valley this weekend. Womack has already been linked to a potential flip to Colorado and there could be a few more announcements of Tigers commits that will be heading to Baton Rouge for the game.
Womack, like many of Auburn's top recruits, is keeping a close eye on Hugh Freeze's job status. Auburn has started 0-4 in the SEC in each of Freeze's three seasons at the helm. The rumblings got a lot louder this past weekend when the Tigers lost to Missouri in overtime.
Where is Auburn's recruiting class ranked?
According to 247 Sports, Auburn currently has the 33rd-ranked recruiting class with 14 commits. Any attrition, especially at the top of the class, would drop the ranking significantly. It's the 12th-highest ranked class in the SEC, but with Mathews and Womack, it's one of six SEC classes with multiple 5-star prospects committed.
The Early Signing Period starts on December 3 and lasts until December 5.
