Jackson Koivun's trophy room just got a little more crowded.

The Auburn golfer has been awarded the Mark H. McCormack Medal as the top male player in the 2025 World Amateur Golf Rankings. With the award, Koivun earns an exemption into next year's US Open and British Open.

"It's a huge honor to win this award," Koivun said. "I'm very grateful to everyone who has helped me, and it's a dream come true. It's a medal every amateur golfer strives for. It's in the back of everyone's head, and you just try and fight and keep playing well. To be able to say I'm a McCormack Medal winner is just really, really cool."

It's just another award on a long list that includes the Haskins, Hogan, Nicklaus and Mickelson, all of which were earned as a freshman two years ago. Koivun also earned his PGA Tour card through the accelerated program this past season. Despite that, he is returning to Auburn for his junior season, hoping to win another national title with his teammates.

Koivun made five cuts in six starts on the PGA Tour this season, including finishing tied for fifth at the Wyndham Championship in August.
