Everyone, including Keyshawn Hall, thought his college basketball career was over after the 2025-26 season he spent with the Auburn Tigers. But, it turns out that Hall is well on his way back to the NCAA.
The former Auburn Tiger declared for the NBA Draft, but was not picked up by any team. He played for the Miami Heat in the Summer League to try to earn a spot, but was unable to earn a contract. In July, Hall was granted a fifth year of eligibility through a lawsuit in Ohio.
Hall has quite the resume, having played for four different college programs in as many years. He began his career at UNLV, then transferred to George Mason and then UCF before landing on the Plains for his senior year.
His time with the Tigers was somewhat turbulent. He was one of the best players and top scorers on the team, represented as a leader, but he was also suspended and benched by first-year head coach Steven Pearl at one point. It was a bumpy season for the team, as well, and the Tigers just missed out on the NCAA Tournament. Hall helped lead the Tigers to an NIT Championship and was named Third-Team All-SEC. He averaged 19.3 points and 7.1 rebounds in the 2025-26 season.
Many programs have interest in Hall, and two powerhouse programs joined in on his recruitment today. According to Jon Rothstein, Houston and USC have both emerged as contenders.

Notably, Hall has received interest from several of his former SEC opponents, including LSU and Kentucky. He is also being targeted by one of his former schools (UCF).
After failing to make it onto a professional team's roster this past summer, Hall will likely want to go with a big program to try to prove that he can make it in the league.
