10 best NFL Draft picks in Auburn football history
Auburn won't be producing any first-rounders in the 2024 NFL draft, but that doesn't mean a late-round sleeper won't turn into a great value in the NFL. Many of the best draft picks in Auburn history slipped well past Round 1.

You can’t go higher in the draft than first overall, but still it was great value for Carolina. The Panthers got the Rookie of the Year in 2011 and the MVP of the entire league in 2015 when Newton led them to a 15-1 record and a trip to the Super Bowl.
His rookie year was record breaking, throwing for over 4,000 yards, which ultimately stuck as his career high, with 21 passes touchdowns and 14 more and 706 more yards on the ground. Newton was an unstoppable weapon at his peak, that peak just didn’t last long enough.
Newton took a few too many hits and was pasted his prime by 2019, his age 30 season, but if a team take a QB No. 1 overall and he takes them to a Super Bowl, that’s a success.
