There is no bigger draft bust in the history of NFL No. 1 overall picks than Bo Jackson and that has nothing to do with Jackson. He told Tampa Bay he wasn’t going to play for them after they sabotaged his final year of baseball eligibility at Auburn, so Bo stayed true to his word after the Bucs selected him and chose the MLB instead.

Teams have taken the wrong quarterback first overall, or had their top pick get injured early in his career, but no team has ever taken a player No. 1 overall and had that player take zero snaps for their team, other than the Tampa Bay Bucs in 1986.

Jackson ended up having an excellent, but brief NFL career for the Raiders, who grabbed him in the seventh round of the 1987 NFL Draft, but as far as busts go, Bo is clearly the biggest.
