Antonio Coleman is once again committed to Hugh Freeze's Auburn football program. For now.

As one of the NIL era's greatest examples of how little a future recruiting commitment means, the 4-star Saraland DL has flipped for the third time; after going from Alabama to Auburn, back to Alabama, and now back to Auburn again.

Barstool Sports' Ohios Tate doesn't believe Tiger fans should feel anything about this news considering the likelihood of Coleman flipping again at some point until he has to sign his NLI in 2025.

"I hate to knock the guy, but the Auburn fan base can't be excited to see this news, right? He's already came and went enough to show us that with a year remaining, he's more likely than not to do it again," Tate wrote. "This would be like being a guy's 4th wife and thinking you're the one! My question is this: does Auburn's coaching staff pump their fists in the air when they got this news? Or do they start preparing for who to fill his spot with when he commits to Texas?"

Auburn football trying to entice star-studded 2025 Saraland recruiting class

One of Freeze's greatest strengths since coming aboard as AU's head man has been forging great relationships with high school coaches across the state. In addition to making headway on notable Crimson Tide strongholds Thompson (Alabaster) and Central (Phenix City), Freeze has gotten himself heavily involved with the Mobile metro.

Saraland, which has three of the top 20 2025 in-state prospects, is one of Freeze's top targets. Coleman and QB KJ Lacey are both attainable, and if they do end up both flipping to the Plains, perhaps WR Dillon Alfred would consider the Tigers too.

Big Cat Weekend was heavy on 2026 recruits. Freeze has several months to fortify his 2025 class and convince some to stop flipping like their on a pancake cooking show.
