Auburn football linked to potential flips and commitments for six recruits in 2025 ESPN 300
Hugh Freeze could very well vault his 2025 Auburn football recruiting class to No. 1 overall in the country if he can finish the job on at least a few of the six recruits his Tigers are linked to for a potential flip.
Four flip candidates, Notre Dame QB Deuce Knight, ex-Miami RB Elijah Melendez, the No. 1 overall recruit from the state of Alabama and current Ohio State CB commit Na'eem Offord, and Georgia Tech WR Sam Turner, and two undecided commits, Lee County RB Ousmane Kromah, and Blue Valley Northwest High School OT Andrew Babalola, have been given a good chance by Rivals' Caleb Jones to end up on the Plains in 2025.
"There were plenty of fireworks in July and into August for Auburn, but the Tigers could be on their way to making even more noise this fall," Jones prefaced before saying, "Auburn is in contention for several high-end prospects and are trending in the right direction of adding even more elite talent.
"Deuce Knight headlines that group that Auburn is targeting, as the Tigers continue to be the team most likely to pull him away from his Notre Dame commitment. Auburn appears to be the team to beat for recent Miami decommit Elijah Melendez. Running back Ousmane Kromah is narrowing in on a decision and Auburn is high on his list. With a couple of visits in recent months, Ohio State commit Na’eem Offord also appears interested. Georgia Tech wide receiver commit Sam Turner and undecided offensive lineman Andrew Babalola also remain possibilities. Summer was hot for Auburn, but this fall could be even hotter."
Of note, Rivals national recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman had a nearly identical answer.
Hugh Freeze making good on the promise Auburn football fans had upon his arrival
It's happening, folks. Freeze is either completely taking over the state via nine of the top 10 recruits from the state of Alabama with an Offord flip and/or hoarding more top-200 talent in the country (according to ESPN) to add to the 12 he has.
To see him overcompensate to this degree on the recruiting trail after the Bryan Harsin era is nothing short of heartwarming. This man is earning his $6.5 million salary unlike his predecessor.
Through believing in work, hard work, Freeze is making believers out of analysts, fans, peers, and anyone else watching the sport.
