In today's edition of Auburn Tigers News, Bruce and the boys keep it rolling with a big win over Penn plus updates on Auburn football's movements in the transfer portal
It was another solid win for head coach Bruce Pearl and his Auburn Tigers. The 88-68 win was the Tigers' sixth straight victory, and they will be heading into conference play with an 11-2 record.
The bench was the driving force behind the win, with Auburn's bench outscoring Penn 39-16 led by KD Johnson and Chad Baker-Mazara. For this team, depth has been extremely important, per Auburn Rivals:
“I feel like our depth is going to be the key to our success this year,” said Jones. “In the second half, we came out slow and put our second group back in and they turned us right back up.”
Johni Broome led in scoring with 24 points, followed by Baker-Mazara with 16. The Tigers had four players with double-digit points, and nine players put points on the board. It was Auburn basketball's 52nd consecutive win over a non-conference opponent in Neville Arena.
