Auburn Tigers News: Miami commit sets Auburn official visit, Jaylin Williams to work out with Warriors
In today's edition of Auburn Tigers News, a 4-star Miami commit sets an official visit to the Plains, and Jaylin Williams will participate in a workout with the Golden State Warriors
4-star linebacker Elijah Menendez, who has been committed to Miami since December of last year, has set an official visit to Auburn football. Ranked as the #15 linebacker in the recruiting class of 2025 and the #20 recruit out of Florida, the Kissimmee native is interested in seeing what the Tigers have to offer.
Menendez visited the Plains last spring, but has not been able to return to campus since. Auburn is one of three official visits the linebacker has set, according to his profile on 247 Sports. He will visit the Tigers on May 31, Michigan on June 14, and Miami on June 21. Florida and Penn State are among the other programs working to pull off a flip.
The linebacker has been a major target for Auburn defensive coordinator DJ Durkin, and he will be visiting during a busy weekend when several other recruits will be on campus, too, including some prospects already committed to the Tigers.
Jaylin Williams will participate in a workout with the Golden State Warriors
As the 2024 NBA Draft draws closer, former Auburn basketball player Jaylin Williams is working hard to raise his draft stock.
Earlier this month, Williams participated in a pre-draft workout with the Detroit Pistons, and according to PDT Scouting on X it went well.
"Auburn senior Jaylin Williams had a successful workout with the Detroit Pistons a source tells @madehoops," PDT posted on X. "Willaims is a hyper athletic wing who averaged 12.4 PPG and shot 40% from deep this past season for Auburn. High motor, good length at 6’8 and improving shooter from deep. Was a headliner in his workout on Thursday"
Today it has been reported that Williams has been invited to participate in a pre-draft workout with the Golden State Warriors.
The 2024 NBA Draft will take place in New York June 26-27.
