In today's edition of Auburn Tigers News, another Auburn football player has accepted an invitation to the NFL combine and Athletics Director John Cohen talks north endzone updates for Jordan-Hare

A third Auburn football player has official accepted his invitation to the NFL Combine. Senior cornerback Nehemiah Pritchett will join fellow secondary teammates Jaylin Simpson and DJ James at the 2024 NFL Combine. The event will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, from February 26 - March 4.

Pritchett had the option to declare for the NFL in 2023, but elected to return to the Plains for another season with Auburn football instead. The Jackson, AL, native spent five seasons with the Tigers, and recorded 115 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, one sack, three interceptions, one forced fumble, and 29 passes deflected.

Athletics Director John Cohen talks north endzone updates for Jordan-Hare

For many years, the north endzone of Jordan-Hare Stadium has been a hot topic. With no video board, the ancient scoreboard, and the overall lack of premium options in the Auburn football stadium, the north endzone was an attention-grabber for Athletics Director John Cohen as soon as he took the job in October of 2022.

According to AL.com, Cohen would like to make the north endzone more "experiential" for fans and has traveled to stadiums at schools around the country, including Notre Dame, Nebraska, Florida State, and Arkansas.

Though Cohen says the project is currently in a "dream phase" and there is no timeline, he and his team are working on blueprints to present internally, per AL.com. There are a number of facilities upgrades Cohen would like to make happen, including providing a dedicated space for the volleyball program to practice due to multiple programs fighting for practice time in Neville Arena. He is also working on a plan for the Beard-Eaves Coliseum, which is mostly empty.
