In today's edition of Auburn Tigers News, an Auburn wide receiver ranks in college football's top transfer commits and the Tigers will face the fifth-toughest schedule this fall

The Auburn football team had a solid group of transfers during the offseason, shoring up several position groups that were badly in need of additional talent, especially along the offensive line and in the wide receiver room.

247 Sports' Cody Nagel released his analysis on the top 15 transfer portal commits, meaning transfers still in the portal were not considered for this list. The Tigers picked up one of college football's top transfers during the spring window in former Penn State wide receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith, who was ranked No. 7.

"The 6-foot-1, 188-pound receiver had his most-productive season with the Nittany Lions in 2023, hauling in a team-high 53 receptions for 673 yards and four touchdowns," wrote Nagel. "He racked up more than 1,700 yards in 48 games played at Penn State."

Alabama, Florida, and Miami picked up the most transfers included on Nagel's list.

Tigers will face fifth-toughest schedule this fall

As per usual, the Auburn football team will not have an easy go of it this fall. Year in and year out the Tigers are consistently ranked in the top when it comes to difficulty of schedules, and the 2024 season will be no different.

With Oklahoma and Texas joining the conference and the East and West divisions erased, things have changed a bit, but the Tigers' schedule is ranked as the fifth most difficult this year according to ESPN's FPI. Below is the top 10 list, per Auburn Undercover, which features only one non-SEC team in Georgia Tech at the ninth place position.

1. Florida

2. Mississippi State

3. Georgia

4. Kentucky

5. Auburn

6. Alabama

7. Oklahoma

8. Tennessee

9. Georgia Tech
