Broncos' nightmare Shedeur Sanders scenario for ex-Auburn football QBs Bo Nix, Jarrett Stidham revealed
The Denver Gazette's Mark Kiszla revealed a nightmare scenario for two former Auburn football QBs, Bo Nix and Jarrett Stidham: neither ex-Tiger getting the QB1 role because Zach Wilson somehow beat them out, all leading up to the Denver Broncos drafting Colorado's Shedeur Sanders.
"If the Broncos decided to start the thoroughly wretched Wilson for 17 games, they’d be so bad that finishing with a 3-14 record would be a real possibility," Kiszla prefaced before saying, "And then the Broncos could select Shedeur Sanders out of Colorado with the first overall pick in next year’s draft to become their franchise quarterback before Bo Nix ever takes a snap as a pro."
Kiszla has once compared Bo Nix to Andy Dalton; denying the Pat Mahomes comparison but admitting he's a much better traditional QB than Tim Tebow ever was. He also called the reader's insinuation that Wilson was better than Stidham "delightfully whackadoodle."
The Wilson suggestion was littered with sarcasm, though it's not a joke that Sanders would be available to any NFL franchise with a 3-14 record in the 2025 NFL draft.

The truth of the matter is that Stidham is putting himself in a position to start over Nix with his performance early this offseason. Training camp could change things in July, but the early returns look good for Stidham and Nix.
Wilson, on the other hand, is not being touted as being on the verge of a career resurgence in the Mile High City. The former BYU Cougar is the likeliest to hit the free agent heap before the offseason after Stidham was predicted to be.
Nix will most certainly get his chance to play in 2024 barring an offseason injury. Whoever starts under center, though, has nearly a decade of failure since Super Bowl 50 to put behind the Broncos fanbase.
