In the 129th meeting of the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry, Georgia predictably blasted Auburn football 31-13. Heading into Week 6, KeAndre Lambert Smith was accredited as the leading receiver with six touchdowns. Against the Georgia Bulldogs, KLS lead the offense with seven receptions for 95 yards.

Arguably the most reliable receiver statistically, KLS was targeted more throughout the game unsuccessfully than otherwise. Jarquez Hunter had 13 carries and 91 yards as well as one reception for 16 yards. Hunter scored the first and only Auburn touchdown by breaking through a tackle and running 38 yards into the end zone.

Auburn's offense throughout the game was plagued by miscommunication. AU did not turnover the ball miraculously. QB1 Payton Thorne performed exactly as expected completing 16/27 for 200 yards. Even, but ultimately not enough to stop the inevitable defensive comeback Georgia was destined for after Week 5's 41-34 loss to Alabama.

Meanwhile Dawgs QB Carson Beck had an excellent comeback effort against Auburn with two TDs and 240 passing yards. Most importantly? No turnovers.

Hugh Freeze shares underwhelmingly obvious response following loss to Georgia

Hugh Freeze stated in the post-game interview that everyone needs to be held more accountable.

"We're not playing winning football," Freeze prefaced before saying, "It's time to expect more from coaches and players."

While it's refreshing to finally hear, it's simply too little too late in Week 6. Tiger fans demand and deserve more.

With a bye week next week there's some hope that Auburn can make slight adjustments; however, it seems the rest of the season is destined to be filled with more heartbreaking losses. Vanderbilt looks like a scarier foe. ULM may be the only "gimme" win left this year, yet New Mexico State proved there's no such thing in the Freeze era.

Reporter Lucy Rhoden believes the plug could, in fact, be pulled on Freeze at the conclusion of this campaign. The head coach cannot afford to give AU deniability if those conversations comes up in a few months.
