Former Oregon and Auburn football star Bo Nix will has a major supporter in Rich Eisen, who gave him sky-high expectations ahead of his rookie season under center for the Denver Broncos and Sean Payton.

“In my opinion, Bo Nix starts all 17 games," Eisen said (h/t Mile High Huddle). "He gets a full-on season under his belt and proves his ability and how Sean Payton can connect with him. He starts all 17 and is clearly the starter of the future and isn’t a missed draft choice."

Eisen visualized how that would happen; assigning even higher expectations for Nix's backfield counterpart, Javonte Williams.

“And Javonte Williams essentially becomes, Sean Payton’s—what do you want to call it? [Alvin] Kamara, Reggie Bush, right? And he picks up 1,500 scrimmage yards."

Rich Eisen predicts playoff birth for Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos

Eisen predicted a playoff birth for Nix and the Broncos in 2024.

“I’ll give them a playoff appearance as a Wildcard as their best-case scenario—that they make the playoffs and they’re a wild card team," Eisen said of the Broncos. "And I think that would be a very good season for Denver with Sean Payton there. So, I’ll give him that."

Out of all the predictions that have been laid out for Nix's rookie season, Eisen's is the most aggressive. Having his top weapon at Oregon, Troy Franklin, will help Nix ease into the pros, but the Broncos have been suffering through in an eight-year playoff drought.

Nix coming in and boosting the Broncos so quickly would prove that Gus Malzahn's 2020 coaching staff and Bryan Harsin were who was holding him back. Most Tiger fans have had that sinking feeling since Nix became one of college football's best QBs upon his Oregon transfer, but success in Denver would clinch that.
