Auburn football players discuss the upcoming 6:30 p.m. matchup against Texas A&M

This weekend, the Auburn Tigers will welcome the Texas A&M Aggies to Jordan-Hare Stadium for a 6:30 p.m. kickoff. It will be the final home game of the Tigers' season, and it is also the first night game against an SEC opponent all season.

It's a big game for Auburn even if the stakes aren't very high. The Tigers have the opportunity to mess up the Aggies' playoff hopes by serving them a third loss, and also to set the tone for next season on the Plains. Even if this season has not been the best, there is a lot of hope for the Tigers with all the young freshmen playing well and the commits who have pledged to join the team.

Here is what several Auburn football players had to say about the game.

LB Eugene Asante on the chance to get a final big win at home, per Auburn Rivals:

"It would be a special thing. You talk about building a foundation for next year. It's really understanding that the young guys need to be able to experience these big games and just go out there and put good stuff on tape, playing our style of football. To this point, I feel like we haven't put a complete game together."

WR KeAndre Lambert-Smith on his first conference night game on the Plains, per Auburn Live:

“I love playing in games like this, this is why I came here. It’s why I went to Penn State in the first place because of the atmosphere, the night games, against top opponents. Being that this is going to be our first one against a good team, you know, I’m super excited.”

TE Luke Deal on the potential to upset Texas A&M's CFP chances, per Auburn Rivals:

"I personally love playing spoiler. I think it's something that's a challenge because a lot of people at this point in the season, if they're not experiencing the highest level of success, they'll give up, and I think that's something that the leadership on this team -- that's what we've been preaching is just like: we've got so much to play for."

Auburn and Texas A&M will kick off at 6:30 p.m. in Jordan-Hare Stadium, and the game will be broadcast on ESPN.
