The 2027 recruiting class's No. 3 quarterback, Montini Catholic Broncos star Israel Abrams, is set to announce his commitment on The Pat McAfee Show on Friday. His final five are the Auburn Tigers, Miami Hurricanes, Florida State Seminoles, Kentucky Wildcats, and Purdue Boilermakers.

Which school is the likeliest to land the 4-star dual-threat out of Arlington Heights, Illinois?

Least likely to land Israel Abrams: Purdue

Look, Pat McAfee isn't inviting Abrams onto his show to announce that he's staying somewhat local and picking Purdue. This would be a massive upset. It's almost certainly not happening. Will Barry Odom and Josh Henson still be in West Lafayette by the time Abrams is on campus?

Second-least likely to land Israel Arbams for the same reasons: FSU

This is definitely more plausible because of the strength of FSU's brand, but it'd still be a substantial shocker to see Abrams sign up for an uneasy situation in Tallahassee, where Mike Norvell is a sitting duck and his offensive coordinator, Gus Malzahn, retired after the transfer portal closed.

Somewhat possible for Israel Abrams but still not that likely: Kentucky

Kentucky is a sneaky threat here, with new head coach Will Stein being a proven QB whisperer with the Oregon Ducks through Dante Moore, Dillon Gabriel, and Bo Nix's success. The Wildcats are an intriguing landing spot and more local than the other schools seriously in the hunt.

Close, but it'll be no cigar for Israel Abrams: Auburn

The Auburn Tigers have several options in the QB room already, with Tristan Ti'a and Locklan Hewlett having eligibility beyond this year. If the transfer portal rules restrict movement, those two will be locked in for the long haul. Alex Golesh is likely to bring in exciting recruits throughout his tenure at the position and elsewhere, but Auburn feels it'll be left at the altar for an NIL/rev-share gaudy spender that's hitting its stride on the recruiting trail.

Israel Abrams' likeliest landing spot: Miami

The U is about to have Abrams doing the infamous "U" pose on national television, and McAfee is going to go nuts over it, proclaiming "Miami is back!" The Canes are the likeliest to want that kind of hoopla, and Abrams just completed a multi-day visit to Coral Gables that he raved about. It feels like an inevitability that Abrams will be wearing orange, green, and white in 2027 and, presumably, beyond.
