The Auburn Tigers football team had an extremely successful weekend, finally breaking its four-game losing streak and picking up its first conference win of the season. The Tigers beat the Arkansas Razorbacks 33-24 on the road, and it was a breath of fresh air for the players and fans alike.

Unsurprisingly, running back Jeremiah Cobb was one of the decisive factors in the Tigers' big win, logging his second straight 100-yard game, his fourth of the year. He had a career high of 28 carries for 153 yards, and he stepped up in a big way for the team, especially in the second half.

"I told everybody we really had a very small sample size of what they [Arkansas] wanted to do on defense," head coach Hugh Freeze said, per Auburn Undercover. "Really had two games with the new coordinator and the new staff, and they played us absolutely totally different than either game. And so, they've been a man coverage team, and boy, they were just not going to do that to us early on. They were going to play a two-high shell, and thus, that means Jeremiah's got to get the job done, and he did."

Early on in the game, it was clear that the Arkansas defense could not stop the Auburn run, and Cobb helped the Tigers drive down the field time and again to get the big win.

“Effort, finishing. We all had that want-to-finish mentality to get a win. That played a big part,” Cobb said, per AuburnTigers.com. “We can run the ball against anybody. Having that mentality to put our hands in the ground and move those bodies. I appreciate those guys for doing that.”

After the victory on Saturday, the Tigers are already looking ahead to their next opponent, Kentucky, who they will face at home in Jordan-Hare Stadium next weekend at 6:30 p.m.
