Steven Pearl has landed his first big-time commit since taking over as Auburn's head coach.
On Friday, 4-star guard Caleb Williams announced that he is committed to the Tigers. Out of Tampa, Fla., Williams is ranked the No. 22 shooting guard in the 2026 recruiting class.
“The main reason I chose Auburn was because of how consistent they were with staying in contact with me and being the first people to come out and see me during the high school live period," Williams told Rivals. "Also the plan that they have set up for me was one that stood out from the rest.”

Williams is the first Auburn commit for the 2026 class. The Specially Fit Academy product took a visit to the Plains the weekend of the Auburn-Georgia football game. He felt immediately at home when he arrived on campus.
“They second I got on campus I could see how much of a family oriented staff they were," he said. "Everyone was joking with each other having a good time and that is important to me. They also have history and a background to show to me so everything they said I got to see with my own eyes.”
When asked what type of player Auburn fans should expect to see out of him, Williams described himself as "a three level scorer who can play at different positions on the floor I am best with the ball in my hands, making plays for other and myself."
He also sent a message to Auburn fans everywhere.
“I am someone who is going to pour their all into the program and make sure that we get a ring back on our fingers I can promise you that," he said. "WAR EAGLE!!!!"
