Another week of SEC football is in the books, and our weekly picks against the spread regained their winning ways with a 4-2 mark. That gives us a .612 winning percentage this season after 67 Saturday Selections.

Things started well when Arkansas jumped out to a 35-0 halftime lead against UAB and held on to cover, and we held our breath through a dramatic fourth quarter in Lexington and were very glad to have that extra half-point in Mississippi State’s 45-31 win. Missouri slogged through a 24-14 win over Vanderbilt, and we were off to a fantastic 3-0 start before the primetime games kicked off.

When Alabama took a 28-0 lead in the second quarter, 4-0 looked like a sure thing, but the Crimson Tide took their foot off the gas and failed to cover in a 34-20 victory. LSU beat Ole Miss straight up, and the Rebels failed us (and their fans) for the first time this season. A close 42-35 Auburn victory over South Carolina pushed us back over .500 for the eighth time in nine weeks.

Looking ahead to Week 10, there are a lot of home favorites, some big-time SEC matchups and a couple of non-conference contests. Now, on to business, and to dollars and cents. How will the teams fare against the spread?

As always, we use the lines from Bovada, as of 11AM CT Friday, while rankings are courtesy of the AP Top 25. Keep in mind that we’ll pick the Ole Miss – Auburn game Saturday morning.
