Wisconsin Badgers Special Teams
Much like the defense, the Badgers have performed well on special teams this season.
Wisconsin has two main kickers, though freshman Rafael Gaglianone is the field goal specialist. He has made 17 of 20 attempts this season (85%), including 12 in a row, with a long of 51 yards. Andre Endicott has 25 touchbacks on 84 kickoffs this season.
Drew Mayer handles the punting duties for the Badgers. The junior has averaged 38.1 yards on 51 punts, has forced 16 fair catches and landed 17 punts inside opponent’s 20-yard line.

Wide receiver Kenzel Doe is Wisconsin’s primary return man on both kick and punt returns. Doe, a senior, has returned nine punts for 15 yards or more, eight of which set up a score for the Wisconsin offense. He has averaged ten yards per return on 48 career punt returns.
The senior has also averaged 24.5 yards per kick return in his career, which ranks third on the school’s all-time list. Alex Erickson and Corey Clement have also factored into the return game this season.
Overall, Wisconsin proved to be a tough nosed, talented, and high quality defense… until the Big Ten Championship Game against Ohio State when everything went down hill.
Which defense will show up in Tampa to take on the Auburn football team? The one that ranked among the nation’s best through 12 games, or the one that was humiliated with a conference championship on the line?
