The countdown to National Signing Day is nearly all the way to zero. In fact, we’re counting down in hours now instead of days.
On February 4, the Auburn recruiting class will be all but finalized as the remainder of high school prospects will sign their names to official letters of intent and fax them to the university offices where Gus Malzahn and the rest of the Tigers coaching staff awaits.

Currently, 21 players have committed to Auburn and the Tigers are expected to take on seven newcomers Wednesday. There are still about 20 players in the mix for those final spots, and there are many, many combinations as to who’ll they’ll finally be.
Will Auburn ride the wave of momentum they’ve gained following the hiring of Will Muschamp as defensive coordinator? Will the Tigers make a splash and land multiple uncommitted five-stars? Maybe flip one or two others on the final day of the recruiting season? Or will they strike out on Byron Cowart, CeCe Jefferson and Martez Ivey and scramble to fill the remaining scholarships with low-profile prospects?
