One of the biggest personnel question marks heading into the 2015 Auburn football season: who will replace All-American center and Remington Award winner Reese Dismukes? One candidate is incoming true freshman Kaleb Kim.

More from Auburn Football Recruiting

A U.S. Army All-American from Hoschton, Georgia, Kim ranks among the nation’s top ten centers in this year’s recruiting class (though he primarily played tackle in high school). However, he’ll battle with Dismukes’ backup from last season, Xavier Dampeer, and possibly one or two other veteran offensive linemen for the starting spot.

Realistically, since Kim will join the Tigers this summer, he’s a long shot to earn the position. But, he’s got the talent and ability to play center well for the Auburn football team for several years to come.

At 6-foot-4 and 280 pounds, Kim has adequate size and strength and plays physical at the line of scrimmage. Of course, like nearly all true freshmen, he needs to develop additional strength and technique. Kim does have a 6-foot-3, 280-pound frame that will continue to fill out with time in the weight room. He has good quickness as well.
