“In the meantime, I’m going to try to get some of these other prospects (for Auburn) also, like Martez Ivey and Byron Cowart,” Harrell said following his official visit on “Big Boom Weekend” in mid-January. “I’m going to try to get them to join up with us.”
Harrell is a four-star prospect from Creekside High School in Georgia and projects as a guard at Auburn. He’s one of four offensive linemen expected to join this year’s recruiting class, and the Tigers return seven O-Linemen with significant playing experience from the 2014 squad, so he may have to be patient to see the field.
Still, he’s talented enough to contribute.
“At first, I just want to go in and get mentally and physically ready to play in the SEC. It’s about making that transition from being a senior in high school to a freshman in college,” he said. “If God allows me, I really would like to be able to start as a freshman in the SEC, because I know that would be big. I’d love to come in from high school and show that I have the ability to play immediately.”
