No. 1 – 1B Garrett Cooper, Milwaukee Brewers

Cooper, a sixth-round pick from 2013 by the Brewers, split last season with AA Biloxi Shuckers and AAA Colorado Springs Sky Sox, and a strong camp could earn him a spot on the Brewers bench.

With Biloxi, Cooper hit .299 with 49 RBIs in 92 games and earned a spot in the midseason All-Star game. After being promoted to Colorado Springs, he hit .276 with 20 RBIs. While Cooper has not shown the power that most teams want in a first baseman, his ability to make contact could make him a pinch hitter. He’s also got the ability to play in the outfield, appearing in 11 games in left field for the Sky Sox last year.

In 2013, his senior season at Auburn, Cooper hit .354 with 7 homers and 37 RBIs. He also had a 15-game hitting streak. As a junior, he his .324.
