Fall camp starts on Friday so to gauge fanbase confidence I decided to ask the public what it would take for Auburn to win 10 games.

This is the time of year as an Auburn fan where nerves begin to settle in. We’re coming off a less than impressive season and Gus Malzahn still hasn’t named a starting quarterback. In addition to starting a new quarterback Malzahn also resumes the role of play-calling. Confidence in the defensive line is among the highest its ever been while many questions remain on the offensive line.

I don’t have a magic eight ball and I’m not a tarot card reader, so I can’t predict the future of Auburn football. Instead I can just sit, wait, freak out, and ask the public what their thoughts are to help calm my nerves. I did just that this week and well, the answers were colorfully honest. I always appreciate the input.

The question asked? It was more of a Mad Libs “fill in the blank” scenario.

I CAN’T BELIEVE IT’S THAT EASY.

Oh wow, that would be something.

If Tulane forfeits that would be huge. I’m very afraid of the green wave.

This is obviously the biggest key for Auburn. The Tigers need a dual playmaking threat QB in a bad way and this is the perfect opportunity for Joey Gatewood/Bo Nix to step up and power this team. Anyone else miss the Nick Marshall era?

What’ll make or break the success of the QB? This right here. Consistency on the offensive line will be crucial this year as well as in the role of running back. Last season the Tigers tried a running back by committee approach and failed to produce a 1,000 yard rusher for the first time in over a decade. The failure left a chip on the Tigers’ shoulder and new running back coach/former Auburn RB legend Cadillac Williams has worked fiercely with the backs this spring. Williams had extremely high praises for JaTarvious Whitlow.

Gus, an intermediate passing game is GREAT. Also, DON’T BE AFRAID TO GO FOR IT ON 4TH AND 1.

Shots fired at strength of schedule.

More shots fired.

Drink Red Bull.

Imagine we’re all on a bus travelling down a mountain. Right as the bus begins traveling downward the driver of the bus jumps out and flashes a double peace sign. The driver is Gus Malzahn. Nobody is left to drive the Gus Bus. The Gus Bus flies off the mountain.

That’s what happened in my mind when I read this tweet.

Auburn had a voodoo doll last season and I swear somebody kept running over it with their car. There’s no other way to explain the cataclysmic downfall of the offensive line.

Open letter to owner of Auburn voodoo doll: Please stop, will make fair trade

My heart hasn’t been the same since that 2017 loss at LSU. It’s high time to redeem ourselves.

The last time Auburn defeated LSU in Baton Rouge? 1999. It was the cigar game where HC Tommy Tuberville promised the players victory cigars to celebrate the win and his birthday.

The last time Auburn defeated LSU in Baton Rouge I had a poster of Britney Spears in my room and Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were still married.

Those 8 wins are about to come in handy!!!

Shoutout to the 110 people who helped fill in the blank and provide answers to how Auburn could possibly get 10 wins this season. If you want to join in on the active thread go check out Fly War Eagle on Twitter!
