Last night, on the greatest stage in professional sports, Tom Brady (and former Auburn football stars Carlton Davis and Jamel Dean) led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a dominant 31-9 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Dean and Davis were part of the “gravediggers” secondary group that made Patrick Mahomes look nothing like the best quarterback in the NFL, as the 2020 Super Bowl MVP failed to lead his offense into the endzone. He even threw a pair of interceptions.

With the Tigers being represented so well in the most-watched television event in America year in and year out, there were bound to be fellow Auburn alumni giving props to the pair.

K.J. Britt–a projected 2021 NFL Draft pick–was one such fellow Tiger to give props to former teammates Dean and Davis:

Interestingly enough, though, Britt’s Buccaneers’ love extended beyond the Auburn football-turned Tampa Bay Buccaneers secondary duo.

He also had quite the take on Brady following his seventh Super Bowl victory and fifth Super Bowl MVP:

Depending on what he means by “Pro”, Britt may be right (or he may be crazy).

If he means professional football player, then Britt is right on the money. When a singular player–a quarterback no less–is able to amass more Super Bowl victories than any other franchise has in its history…there isn’t much of an argument to be made.

On the flip side, the “best pro” title cannot be given to Brady in any other scenario. He was not more dominant than Tiger Woods, Serena Williams, or Michael Phelps if we account for individual sports, and even though he has made 14 Pro Bowl appearances (tied for the most in NFL history), he likely couldn’t do it in an entirely different sport.

Ipso facto, despite Brady achieving the greatest feat in the history of modern sports with his seventh Super Bowl victory and fifth as the SB MVP, until he is striking out the likes of Mike Trout and Vlad Guerrero Jr. or throwing alley-oop lobs to Anthony Davis, he can never be considered greater than Bo Jackson.

In all seriousness, though, congrats to Brady, Dean, Davis, and the entire Tampa Bay Buccaneers team for their victory, and War Eagle!
