Could Auburn football swoop in with Quan Lee offer?

The Auburn football program is recruiting hard already for 2022, and so is 2022 quarterback commit Holden Geriner. The Georgia native regularly tweets at prospects in his recruiting class to put in a good word for the Tigers.

The latest Twitter action comes not from Geriner himself, but the QB is instead mentioned in a tweet by class of ’22 wide receiver Quan Lee. The Florida native is ranked three stars by 247 Sports and has received 13 offers so far from the likes of Coastal Carolina, Kentucky, and Miami to name a few.

Lee has yet to receive an offer from Auburn football, but could that change soon? Just yesterday the prospect tweeted the Auburn battle cry to Tigers’ commit Holden Geriner:

Lee and Geriner played together earlier this year in the Pylon 7v7 event in Orlando, FL. Both athletes were named top performers in the tournament by 247 Sports:

"Gainesville Bucholz receiver Quan Lee was a valuable target underneath for his squad. Lee has nice first-step quickness. Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Louisville, and Coastal Carolina have offered. Lee is rated an 87 by 247Sports."

Just the other day Holden Geriner was tweeting about class of 2022 wide receiver commit Latreal Jones, so this isn’t the first time we’ve seen Twitter relationships being built between the quarterback and his potential receivers.

At the end of  the 2020-21 season, Quan Lee finished with 44 receptions for 916 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also completed 10 kickoff returns for 219 yards.

According to 247 Sports, the Auburn football program has made 31 wide receiver offers for the class of 2022, though many of them have committed to other schools already. Building up the wide receivers corps has been a priority for head coach Bryan Harsin and his staff with the loss of several to the 2021 NFL Draft.

So will the Tigers offer three-star wide receiver Quan Lee? It’s too soon to tell, but it’s possible that our dual athlete-recruiter Holden Geriner is hot on the trail and perhaps Lee was hinting at an offer with his War Eagle tweet.
