The NFL Draft kicks off later this week, and Fly War Eagle has been covering the different draft rumors each Auburn football NFL hopefuls have been a part of throughout the buildup that began when the team up north won the 2020 NCAA championship.

Currently represented by a handful of receivers and a couple of defensive studs, the Tigers are sending out more former AU gridiron greats to the pro ranks, and draft talk has expectedly heated during the final buildup.

Today, one of Bo Nix’s preferred targets over the past several seasons, Seth Williams, was called a potential sleeper by Pro Football Focus.

Sharing a highlight reel of some of the Cottondale, Alabama product’s best catches during Gus Malzahn’s final few years on the Plains, PFF asked the world who they thought was a sleeper:

A “highlight machine” is a great label for a big play receiver hoping to hear his name called on day one or (more likely) day two of the NFL Draft.

Williams received free marketing from PFF’s social media team, and NFL fans now have a look at someone that can complement their #1 and #2 options in year one.

The worry for Williams at the next level by some draft pundits is his athleticism, but thriving in the SEC against some of the best CB talent in the country–with, by the way, a young quarterback who struggled in a Malzahn-run offense that has been outed by New England Patriots personnel as one that leaves QBs unprepared at the professional level–clearly has PFF thinking that such a “flaw” will have Williams’ draft position not reflect his actual talent and draft ranking relative to the rest of the class.

Though Williams attended Paul W. Bryant high school, he will always represent War Eagle as an Auburn football product wherever he lands at the next level.
