The third round of the 2021 NFL Draft finally saw a former Auburn football player heading to the big leagues. Wide receiver Anthony Schwartz was the No. 91 overall pick to the Cleveland Browns and he joins an exciting young core from ‘The Land.’
The fastest player in the draft heard his name called in front of the NFL draft hometown crowd, and Browns fans were pleased with the pick. Schwartz will be joining the likes of Baker Mayfield, Odell Beckham Jr., and Jarvis Landry on a team that made the playoffs for the first time since 2002.
Schwartz led the Auburn football team in receptions at the end of the 2020 season after hauling in 54 catches for 636 yards and three touchdowns. His official numbers for the draft put him at 6-foot, 186 pounds, and he knocked out the 40-yard dash in a measly 4.25 seconds.
The first Auburn player to be selected in 2021, Schwartz received praise from everyone, including former coaches, current NFL players, and former teammates, and future teammates:

Said he can help complement Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry while Baker Mayfield slings the ball and Nick Chubb runs through everything.
You know how you hear “world-class speed” in like 20 scouting reports per year?

Anthony Schwartz is the only dude in the last five years where that isn’t hyperbole — it’s a stone cold fact
Needless to say, Schwartz has a bright future ahead of him. The elite Auburn football wide receiver has graduated and is well on his way to becoming an elite NFL wide receiver.
