While Auburn football had a busy June hosting recruits from all over the country, things aren’t slowing down just because it’s July. Class of 2022 recruits are nearing their official decisions, and the Tigers are pushing hard to add to their three-person group of signees.

Through a slew of official and unofficial visitors, first-year head coach Bryan Harsin and his staff had a chance to wow prospects and convey to them his new vision for the Auburn football program. While many Tiger targets have unfortunately already committed to other schools around the nation, there are still plenty out there to welcome to the Plains.

Some of the recruits will visit again in the fall and wait to see how the season goes, but others are fast approaching a commitment. With their decision dates spread all throughout the month of July, here are five recruits that Coach Harsin hope to turn into Tigers:

Potential Auburn football commit #1: Tyreese Fearbry

Fearbry is a 4-star edge out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and the Tigers’ toughest competition for him will be schools from his home state. Fly War Eagle contributor Zach McKinnell reported earlier in the week that it will all come down to Pitt, Penn State, Kentucky, and Auburn when Fearbry makes his decision on July 4.

The Tigers hosted Fearbry’s last official visit on the schedule and described it as such a unique experience as he had never been to the south prior to the trip. The edge liked the ambition of the Tigers and enjoyed spending time with head coach Bryan Harsin.

Fearbry’s 247Sports Crystal Ball projection sends him to Pitt, but if the Tigers can pry him out of his home state and get him to the south, we could have a talented 4-star committed in two days.
