Auburn football: Alabama fans walk back on Milo’s backlash

Whoops. Spoke too soon, Alabama fans. After Auburn football starting QB Bo Nix inked a sponsorship deal with Milo’s Sweet Tea, Bammers decided to boycott the brand.

Now, with a member of the Tide joining Milo’s as well, there’s some walking back of the aforementioned avoidance.

Malachi Moore became the second SEC athlete from the state of Alabama to join Milo’s, which operates primarily out of Tuscaloosa and Birmingham. Being that the first was an Auburn football player, Tide fans were put in a predicament.

All it takes for a Bammer to drink Milo’s again is having one of their own embrace the brand too. Those not partial to either Iron Bowl rival had fun with the quick turnaround from Tide fans:

Ultimately, Milo’s has created a whirlwind of buzz that has created endless tweets, memes, thoughts, and probably extra buys from its Alabama and Auburn football sponsorship war.

It’s just good to know that the company won’t lose out on sales for having a certain player represent their brand.
