Following Bo Nix’s Milo’s sponsorship, TJ Finley has become the second Auburn football quarterback to land a sponsorship deal.

The backup from LSU that made the move from the Bayou to the Plains is now an official sponsor of PSD Underwear.

The brand, as Nathan King notes, is one that is represented by several different NBA athletes already.

Per his Twitter:

Finley joins the ranks of many Tigers–including but not limited to Roger McCreary, Zakoby McClain, Smoke Monday, and Shaun Shivers–who have been able to reap the benefits of the world of sports marketing now that it applies to amateur athletes.

It’s interesting to say the least that Finley was able to ink a deal so early on in the post-NIL marketplace. Finley has been tabbed by some as a potential replacement under center for the underwhelming Nix, and beyond his big arm and frame, he clearly has the cache to play a starring role for Auburn football in 2021.

On the flipside, Finley could well end up being an overpriced asset if falls down the depth chart past Dematrius Davis for the backup role.

Either way, PSD Underwear has their man. In fact, they were able to nab two from the Auburn family:

Fly War Eagle will continue to provide updates on all of the NIL agreements that Auburn athletes come to. Evidently, it appears that the interest from companies is leaning towards the gridiron, since in the two days the NIL rules have been in effect, 84% of new sponsorships have been for Auburn football players.
