Auburn football: CFB Reddit reveals wild Bo Nix/Patrick Nix stat
If you’re a fan of Auburn football, it won’t surprise you to hear that Bo Nix, who is heading into his third year as an Auburn quarterback, is the son of former Tigers QB Patrick Nix. Bo arrived on the Plains as a legacy, and though he hasn’t seemed to reach peak form yet fans are hoping that this season will turn things around.
Nix is also under pressure to perform to keep his role as QB1 with the transfer of TJ Finley, but heading into fall camp it seems pretty set in stone that Nix will be the starter come September 4 in Jordan-Hare Stadium. He’s also heading into the 2021 season with a pretty interesting stat on his chart.
According to Twitter account RedditCFB, Bo Nix is currently tied with his father, Patrick Nix, for 7th all-time career passing yards of an Auburn quarterback:
No matter which brand of college football you prefer, there’s no denying that’s an incredible stat for the two of them to share, even if it only lasts for another month (hopefully). Auburn football fans were quick to catch the post by RedditCFB:
Patrick Nix played quarterback at Auburn from 1992-1995. As a team captain, he led the 1995 Tigers to an 8-4 record and won the team’s Pat Sullivan Award for Offensive Player of the Year in addition to the Cliff Hare Award for Student-Athlete of the Year.
