Few Auburn football commits have the passion for the Plains that 4-star running back Damari Alston has.

The 2022 commit is up there with Holden Geriner as the most active player recruits the Tigers have had in quite some time and their collective pride for being Auburn men could be noticeable to other recruits.

Well, Alston took to Twitter on Sunday to share a photo of the Auburn football 2022 recruiting class…and it was not your normal edit.

Instead, the class was put together on a mock cover of the popular hip-hop magazine XXL:

On the cover were Alston, Geriner, Powell Gordon, Ja’Kobi Albert, Jay Fair, Caden Story, Micah Riley-Ducker, and Caleb Wooden. Missing was kicker Alex McPherson.

Needless to say, fans were impressed with the graphic:

Alston is one of the premier threats of the Tigers’ Class of 2022. He will be joining a backfield that features Heisman hopeful Tank Bigsby and Class of 2021 explosive downhill runner Jarquez Hunter.

While his talent has many excited, his willingness to do the dirty work talking to other recruits in hopes of seeing them join him in Auburn has been admirable as well.

After a slow start, Bryan Harsin’s 2022 recruiting class has picked up steam over the summer, marked by a strong July and an August that could be just as active.

2022 could be the first team of the Harsin regime that makes noise on a national scale. This upcoming year could be a trying one after Gus Malzahn’s exit caused many of his recruits to back off from their commitments.

The more Alston does things like this, the more likely top recruits from the Georgia area will take notice…thus potentially improving his own chances of both individual and team success when arrives on the Plains next year.

Next. 4 Tigers that must establish footing before '22 class arrives. dark
