If the Auburn football program has one thing going for them heading into the 2021-22 season, it’s a room full of powerhouse running backs. Returners Tank Bigsby and Shaun Shivers will be backed up by incoming freshman Jarquez Hunter, and all three are extremely talented.
Bigsby, especially, has received major hype heading into his second year of Auburn football and is already on the watch list for four different awards in addition to earning preseason All-SEC first-team honors. Bigsby and Shivers have the opportunity to become one of the best running back duos in the SEC.
However, the pair are no stranger to media snubs, and the latest comes from Twitter user Big Game Boomer, who left them off of his list of best RB duos heading into the 2021 season:

And Auburn football fans took that personally. With all Tank Bigsby’s accolades and Shaun Shivers’ proven grit, how did the pair not make Big Game Boomer’s list?
You must hate Auburn

You forgot Tank and Bigsby

BGB tried to make the claim that Auburn football was overlooked on the list because “Tank Bigsby is a one-man show” but fans didn’t let that excuse fly at all, rushing to Shivers’ defense:
Even tank alone is better than half this list. Duo or not. Shivers is better than he gets credit for

If Tank made your top 5 list but our RB duo didn’t make your top 50, then you must think Shivers is the worst RB in the P5, which wouldn’t be further from the truth 😂😂 https://t.co/U32wVuDtSo

In 2020, Tank Bigsby led the team in rushing yards with 834, and Shaun Shivers came in at third with 276 yards, beaten out only by Bo Nix for the second-place spot. Of course, Bigsby is a next-level running back, but how can you say he’s a one-man team with a backup like Shivers?
In the end, it will only add more fuel to the flames, because the Auburn football team loves to prove people wrong.
