There were a lot of shocking results on Saturday, but there were none more than Jacksonville State’s last-second victory over the Florida State Seminoles. While some FBS powers like, say, Auburn football, were able to get the job done against FCS opponents put on the schedule as early-season confidence boosters, others were not so fortunate.

FSU gave up a last-second ‘Hail Mary’ to JSU’s Zerrick Cooper–who looked helpless against UAB’s defense at the Montgomery Kickoff in Week One–and had one of the worst losses of 2021 so far.

Needless to say, after watching Arkansas pick apart Texas, fans were in awe of what they saw.

Here’s how the Auburn family reacted to the team that beat them for the 2013 BCS National Championship losing to a team that took them to the limit in 2015:

Make no mistake about it: this is the season’s worst loss. While FSU already wasn’t expected to be a College Football Playoff team this year, they now have no chance of making an NY6 bowl, barring winning out.

Winning out is just about impossible. Any team that loses to JSU in the regular season is not running the table with matchups against Clemson, UNC, and Florida all on the road this season. Sorry, I don’t make the rules.

The Noles are down bad, though. And Auburn football fans are all playing the world’s smallest violin about it.
