Auburn football head coach Bryan Harsin suffered his first loss of the season this past weekend after the Tigers fell to the Penn State Nittany Lions in Happy Valley. Auburn battled hard but ultimately faced a few setbacks that Penn State was able to capitalize on and the Tigers couldn’t dig themselves out of the hole.

Following the 28-20 loss, Harsin told the media that the most important thing this week would be to fix the mistakes from last week’s game and focus on beating Georgia State. Though the Panthers are unranked and have won only one game this season, Harsin said that they will provide several challenges for the Tigers.

Discipline needs to improve for everyone involved with the program, according to Coach Harsin, and he went on to announce that there would be no players of the week from the Penn State game:

Auburn football fans were absolutely delighted with the harsh words from the head coach, praising the competitive mindset that he is setting for the team:

Harsin says the team should use the past week’s loss for motivation, per Auburn Undercover, and he hopes that it reminds everyone that “it takes what it takes.”

Although Georgia State’s head coach Shawn Elliot doesn’t seem to be worried about the Week 4 matchup in the slightest, it seems that Coach Harsin is taking the Panthers very seriously and expects to see improvements in this Auburn team.
