Auburn football fans are not fans of barking UGA baby
Here in the SEC, we all care deeply about our traditions. It just means more. Auburn football would not be the same without toilet paper hanging from the trees after a win or cries of “War Eagle!”
While Auburn may be the only team with a live eagle circling the field before the game, Auburn is not the only school with fun traditions. Mississippi State has its cowbells, Texas A&M has its Midnight Yell, and Arkansas has Woo Pig Sooie.
However, one of the worst things to happen in all of college football is having a Georgia fan bark at you. Yes, you read that correctly. Fully grown adults barking at other people. It’s what they do over in Athens.
But apparently, the “fully grow adults” thing has become more inclusive because this morning SEC Network took to Twitter to post footage of a baby UGA fan barking at the camera:
While, admittedly, the baby is very cute, wouldn’t it be a lot cuter if the baby was saying “War Eagle!” and not barking? Auburn football fans seemed to agree:
Of course, it’s all in good fun, and who doesn’t have a horror story about a UGA fan barking at you? One of the best things about college football is the passion in the fan base–the kids that grow up cheering for their teams before they can even talk and the people who participate in and keep the traditions going for years and years to come.
We’ll definitely stick with our toilet paper and “War Eagle!”, but here’s to all the college football fans out there and the passion for the sport that they carry on.
