Auburn football fans are not in agreement on whether or not they like the QB decision made by Bryan Harsin in the wake of Bo Nix’s injury.

Before we continue, we just have to point out how much of a brutal blow losing Bo is. As much scrutiny as he receives, he led the charge for the Tigers in wins over LSU, Arkansas, and Ole Miss in a brilliant post-Georgia stretch.

Without him, Harsin is going with LSU transfer TJ Finley, who came to the Plains for this very moment, instead of freshman QB Dematrius Davis.

That decision has some saying ‘duh’:

While others are not happy about the four-star dual-threat out of Texas remaining glued to the pine:

Davis leaving after his freshman season would be a shocker, unless it was clear during the spring that Holden Geriner is ahead of him on the depth chart.

As for the general unhappiness from fans about this, it’s fair. Davis stuck with the program through the coaching transition from former Auburn football HC Gus Malzahn to Bryan Harsin and had no idea he’d have to contend with Finley, who transferred this past May during the immediate transfer window.

If Finley isn’t delivering against either the South Carolina Gamecocks or the ‘team up north‘ in the Iron Bowl, why shouldn’t they consider replacing him mid-game with Davis just like how Nix was replaced against Georgia State?
