Things change quickly in the world of recruiting, which can only bode well for Auburn football’s recruiting class of 2022. With only 13 commits on the roster so far, the Tigers’ 2022 class sits at second-to-last in the Southeastern Conference, just ahead of Vanderbilt.

As if things weren’t hard enough, the Tigers are also in the middle of the search for a new offensive coordinator after first-year head coach Bryan Harsin sent Mike Bobo packing. Names like Zach Kittley, Zak Hill, and Dell McGee have all been thrown around, but nothing has been made official, which may hurt Auburn’s recruiting.

However, with the early signing period quickly approaching, we can expect the class to grow and improve considerably. Several of Auburn football’s key recruiting targets plan to announce their official decisions in the coming days, including Austin Ausberry on December 13 and many more recruits like Khurtiss Perry and Keionte Scott planning to announce on December 15.

One of the most pressing issues for Auburn football’s coaching staff is improving the wide receivers room, a position group that struggled all season and still needs a talented leader to get the ball rolling. Sophomore wide receiver Elijah Canion announced after the Iron Bowl that he would be entering the NCAA transfer portal, and senior transfer Demetris Robertson is officially out of eligibility.

Of course, the Tigers will be looking to the transfer portal to beef up the WR room, and Jay Fair, Omari Kelly, and Kobi Albert are already on the 2022 roster, but what about adding more WR recruits? Fly War Eagle brings to you two wide receiver prospects who are trending towards the Plains.
