Auburn football has been named as one of the top options for LSU wide receiver de-commit Decoldest Crawford.

The Tigers were among four teams represented in emoji form on the 3-star recruit’s Twitter page on Friday afternoon:

Fly War Eagle co-editor Mary Kate Hughes named Crawford as a prospective target just two days ago:

"The other recruit that the Tigers should be looking into is 3-star wide receiver and former LSU commit Decoldest Crawford. Not only should he come to the Plains to continue the streak of incredible names on the roster, but also because it’s usually exceedingly hard to pull a Louisiana native away from LSU. Though it’s looking like Crawford could potentially be following former LSU WR coach Mickey Joseph to Nebraska, he could also make a great fit on Auburn’s 2022 roster."

Snagging a de-commit from LSU would be a major interconference victory on the recruiting trail for Bryan Harsin and co., who are still lagging behind at #34 in the Class of 2022 recruiting rankings per 247Sports.

Death Valley Voice’s Zach Ragan downplayed Crawford’s de-commitment from the Bayou Tigers, writing it off as a necessary recruiting bump:

"Ultimately, this isn’t a huge loss for the Tigers. Crawford was one of the lower-rated players in LSU’s 2022 recruiting class. It feels like this is a situation where LSU wasn’t really fighting hard to try to keep Crawford from leaving the state."

We know it’s down to the Texas, Florida, Nebraska, and Auburn football for Crawford’s services. Nebraska may have the inside track with former LSU WR coach Mickey Joseph making the jump to the Cornhuskers after offering him with the Tigers.

Crazy enough, Harsin and co. may have the most stable program of the bunch and could be the most attractive option to the Green Oaks product.
