The Bud Walton Arena could be the most hostile environment for the Tigers

Arkansas is underachieving in 2021-22. Especially when you juxtapose this season with last, when the Razorbacks made a run to the Elite Eight and narrowly lost in the SEC Championship game.

It’s not looking like those things are in the cards this season based on the early returns from Eric Musselman’s group. Losing to Oklahoma wasn’t a great loss considering the Sooners’ 2021-22 struggles, but following that up with a loss to Hofstra was borderline unfathomable.

If not for a win over Elon, we’d be talking about a losing steak that also includes conference losses to Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, and Texas A&M.

Could the corner be turned? The Hogs have won four straight including over a ranked LSU squad and a receipt over the Aggies at home for their earlier loss this season. If it is, Arkansas represents a big test for the Tigers, especially since Fayetteville, Arkansas may not have as many visiting Auburn fans as Oxford, Tuscaloosa, or Athens, although there is certainly space for the rabid traveling ‘Jungle’ in the 19,000+ seat Bud Walton Arena.

Watch out for Arkansas, who has more talent than their win-loss record is indicating at the moment.
