Auburn football’s Auburn Strength Twitter account is back to honor the second group of Iron Men of Week. As is now tradition, Auburn Strength recognizes one member of the defense and one member of the offense for going above and beyond during the offseason training.

The Iron Men of week one were key returners to the 2022 squad in senior wide receiver Shedrick Jackson and transfer safety Donovan Kaufman. This week’s Iron Men are also important returners that play starting roles for the Tigers.

Nehemiah Pritchett, a junior cornerback, represents the defense this week while sophomore offensive lineman Keiondre Jones represents the offense:

A native of Jackson, AL, Nehemiah Pritchett will be entering his fourth season with Auburn football. In addition to starting at cornerback, Pritchett also played a role on special teams returning kicks. In 2021, Pritchett recorded 27 total tackles, one interception, six pass deflections, and one touchdown in addition to returning 10 kicks for 313 yards.

During his time on the Plains, Pritchett has played 30 games and accumulated 56 total tackles, two interceptions, and 17 passes deflected.

Keiondre Jones will return to the Plains in 2022 for his fourth season as a Tiger. Though he did not see game action as a true freshman in 2019, Jones was bumped up to a starting role in 2020 versus Arkansas after Brandon Council was injured in the previous game against Ole Miss.

In 2021, Jones was the only offensive lineman to start every game of the season and was named Offensive Lineman of the Week following his performance in Baton Rouge versus LSU.

Jones and Pritchett were praised for dominating their training and constantly raising the level of competition for Auburn football.
